I am very proud to announce the completion of a short concert band piece entitled Broken Rain Machine (2016) (audio)! It is meant as a quick and lively concert opener that initially lowers the audiences guard with repetitive rhythms and consonant harmonies before going on the attack.
"...the machine, slowly breaking down over time as the aches and groans of it's failing parts become more and more apparent. The job of creating rain and bringing life to the world has taken it's toll on the machine and the strain becomes deafening. Finally, the machine let's out a final whistle, a sigh of relief as it finally comes to rest."
