​ME AND MISS MARY (2013)

Me and Miss Mary (2013)  is a piece that was written to explore unusual sounds in a jazz idiom. Many of the sounds are inspired by the Stan Kenton album City of Glass and the harmonies are derived from natural 11 chords and other harmonic dissonances not commonly heard jazz. This piece was premiered by the Colorado State University Jazz Ensemble 1 at Colorado State University in the Spring 2013.
