I am pleased to announce the completion of my latest work for wind band. Dorchadas (2014) is for full concert sized band based on an extensive 12 chord progression and a very short melodic phrase. I am currently working on finding an ensemble interested in premiering the work some time in Spring 2015.
Shaula: The Sting of Scorpius (2014) is my latest work for unaccompanied flute with live processing. The piece is set to be recorded by flautist Stephanie Warner and will be submitted for the 35th Annual Bowling Green New Music Festival at Bowling Green State University.
It is my pleasure to announce that during my time working with the Ralston Valley High School music students during my student teaching I have completed a work specifically written for the RVHS Chamber Orchestra, Zima: The Monster That Would Not Die (2013). I hope they enjoy it, the first read is tomorrow!

I had a wonderful time at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Composition workshop. The group at the left were all of the participants of the improvisation track. I had an amazing experience meeting and working with composers ranging in age from 14-54 and as many skill levels. I would particularly like to thank Dr. Jim Mobberley, Dr. Mara Gibson, Dr. Paul Rudy, Violist Michael Hall, and the Kansas City NewEar Ensemble. I will be attending the University of Missouri-Kansas City Composition Workshop June 14-21. At the workshop the NewEar Ensemble with special guest Chicago-based Violist Michael Hall will premiering my piece Watch Tower Syndicate (2013) for Flute, Viola, Percussion, and Piano. I will also be working with Dr. Paul Rudy in the Improvisation Track and will have opportunities to work with Dr. Jim Mobberley and Dr. Mara Gibson. I will also be giving a brief presentation on Benjamin Britten's War Requiem: Requiem Aeternam.
